Call for Contributions

Current statusForthcoming - not yet open

The formal Call for Contributions, submission system, deadlines and final eligibility rules have not yet been published. The information below describes the intended direction of the call and may be refined before opening.

The Call for Contributions will invite work that helps explain, evaluate or redesign the systems through which research is produced, assessed, shared and governed. Contributions may be empirical, conceptual, methodological, comparative, institutional or policy-oriented, provided that they engage clearly with research-system transformation.

Anticipated contribution routes

Work presenting evidence, analysis, conceptual development or comparative insight relevant to one or more scientific pillars.

WORKING SESSIONS

Research Systems Labs

Proposals built around a clearly defined research-system problem and a facilitated process for collaborative analysis, design or problem-solving.

EMERGING RESEARCHERS

Doctoral Forum

Work-in-progress contributions from doctoral and early-career researchers seeking substantive interdisciplinary and institutional feedback.

CONCISE FORMATS

Posters & lightning talks

Focused contributions designed to communicate an emerging finding, method, infrastructure, institutional case or research question concisely.

Who the call is intended to reach

The Forum is designed for participation across research roles and sectors. The final call is expected to be relevant to researchers and faculty, doctoral and early-career researchers, research offices and managers, libraries and scholarly-communication teams, research infrastructures, funders, assessment communities, policymakers and institutional leaders.

Interdisciplinary, cross-institutional and cross-sector proposals are welcome in principle. Final eligibility and authorship requirements will be stated in the formal call.

Expected review principles

The formal review criteria are still being prepared. The scientific governance model is expected to prioritise relevance to the Forum theme and pillars, clarity of the research-system question, quality and transparency of the proposed contribution, potential for meaningful exchange, and an appropriate match between the proposal and the selected format.

Scientific review and programme curation will remain distinct from institutional partnership and sponsorship decisions.
