SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

Programme

The 2027 scientific programme will connect plenary debate, collaborative working formats and contributions across the four research-systems pillars. Activities are published progressively as they are confirmed.

PROGRAMME STATUS

The detailed programme is being prepared.

Confirmed activities, speakers, moderators, session times and rooms will appear here progressively. Until then, the programme framework below explains the formats being developed for the inaugural edition.

The scientific programme is being developed as a compact, high-engagement meeting that connects system-level debate with focused working formats. Confirmed sessions, speakers, times and rooms will be published progressively through the structured programme below.

Programme statusIn development

No session, speaker, time or venue should be treated as confirmed until it appears in the structured programme with a public status.

How the programme is being designed

The Forum is intended to minimise unnecessary parallelisation and create shared reference points across the four scientific pillars. The programme architecture combines plenary discussion with smaller working formats so that conceptual, empirical, institutional and policy perspectives can interact rather than remain in separate tracks.

SHARED ROOM

Keynotes & plenary debate

Major interventions and cross-pillar discussions focused on research-system transformation rather than isolated technologies or disciplines.

WORKING FORMAT

Research Systems Labs

Facilitated sessions organised around practical institutional and policy problems, with an emphasis on exchange and usable outcomes.

EMERGING RESEARCHERS

Doctoral Forum & lightning formats

Dedicated space for doctoral and early-career researchers to present work, test ideas and connect across institutions and professional communities.

INSTITUTIONAL DIALOGUE

Policy & university roundtables

Structured exchange among researchers, universities, research offices, funders, infrastructures and policy communities.

INFRASTRUCTURES

Open research infrastructure showcase

A curated, non-commercial space for infrastructures and services that support open, trustworthy and connected research systems.

COMMUNITY

Networking & collaboration

Deliberate time for cross-sector introductions, follow-up conversations and collaboration beyond individual sessions.

Publication approach

The programme will be published progressively. Draft planning information may change until an activity is marked public and confirmed. Once dates and the Academic Host are formally confirmed, this page will become the authoritative public schedule for the edition.
